WOYWW #178

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday and 54 days till Christmas!!
That is a scary thought...are you all prepared?
I have a new name for my craft room...I call it the "Dungeon" because its located downstairs. I have never lived in a house with a 'downstairs room', and it reminds me of a dungeon.
This is the food corner in my craft room, that bottle of red stuff is non alcoholic grape juice, I don't drink liquor, wish I could sometimes, just don't like the taste.
My ribbon section, I came downstairs this morning to find the dowling sticks had come off their perch and all the ribbons had fallen off, lol, back to thinking of a new system to hang them up again...NAILS
My tool corner and shelves displaying the items I make and receive
My Grand Calibur and Bigshot desk. Of course this is not the completion of my craft room as I am constantly changing stuff around, although it doesn't look like it
Desk ready for Tuesday night stamping with the girls last night. As I still haven't unpacked my 30+ craft boxes, decorating CDs is the only thing I can do at the moment or crochet my towel toppers. Those paper plates and cups aren't for munchies, they are to hold the CDs when they have resin on them. After years of making these CDs and having them topple over I suddenly had an idea to apply some double sided tape the cups and adhere them to the plate to stop it from wobbling over and all my hard work going down the drain.
I tried to take the picture <above left> standing on a chair, the chair toppled over and I fell down and took the picture on the right on my way down LOL, it wasn't funny then but it is funny now that I see the photos and remembered my very unladylike fall. I think I twisted a few things in my side as its aching but nothing was broken. I did fall gracefully I might add as I was able to manoeuvre my fall.

This is the close-up of CDs that I have decorated. I will be doing classes in my new craft room teaching these, as it is now the season to do them. They can't be made in autumn or winter so they are a seasonal craft.

Run on over to Julia's Stamping Ground to see more crafting activities around the world

I had to giggle about your graceful fall and the photo shot on the way down. Your CD's are beautiful. I. Noticed you had both the grand calibur and the big shot...I bet you have a reason for this, would you mind sharing it? I have the grand calibur and just tried a big shot for the first time. I was impressed how it did chipboard so easily. Was considering getting a big shot... Please share!

Hi Bridget, I love the idea of a food corner but I fear I might spend too much time in it lol. Also like the idea of a dedicated area for things made and received, I might adapt that idea for me if that's ok?
Cheers,

Julias blog can be a hazzard how many I wonder have had a minor injury in the name of art, I do pray you are ok. But yes I did have a little laugh after I found out how silly you were, it sure would of been a sight. LOL

Craft room coming along nicely, I do love the CD's they have always been a favourtie of mine, must do some they are a seasonal thing like you say, must be created with the right temperature.

Oh Bridget, I'm sorry you fell...I never stand on a hair for my overhead shots...just lift my arm and hope for the best. Hope the twisty aches go away soon. my iPad is a universal rectangle shape, it must just look compressed in the photo, how funny! Your dungeon is fab...so much room, am loving that you even have room for a food station!

Like the name for your new craft room and love those CDs. Was looking at the first photo and trying to figure out why you needed so many cups and mugs but now I know - classes. Good luck with them and avoid standing on chairs.

Oh my, those cd's are gorgeous! Lol at your 'graceful' fall- I've never been able to do that in my life, and I have had lots of opportunities to practice! Glad you didn't hurt yourself badly, it so easy to do in the silliest ways isn't it? We have a cellar in our house, and some nephews & nieces were always told it was a dungeon for badly behaved children. Trust me, chaining them to the walls by their ankles was frequently considered too. Thankfully, they've grown into(slightly) better behaved adults.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #90

I think your room is coming along nicely, I don't think dungeon when I see it. lol, it's too brightly lit! Now quit standing on chairs, you know it's not safe! Glad you didn't hurt yourself! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

No more clmibing up on chairs and falling, gracefully or not...No climbing! You are banned! teehee

i scrap in the basement as well. My husband calls it the dungeon too! I don't mind it as it is lovely and cool in thw hot summers and just right in the sring and fall...but can get a bit chilly in the dead of winter so i have a little electric heater i use for a couple months each year.
I do miss having a window though!
Yours is coming along nicely...you are looking more set up each week.

Glad you are making progress on getting settled into the new space...those c.d.s are really neat, super idea. And I love your snack station! Brilliant! Wish I had room in my craft cave for such a thing...but since its not downstairs at least I don't have to trek those things whenever I want a snack or drink! Glad you don't either. :)
