WOYWW #278 and Cold Remedy Recipe

So here is my work desk, I took the project off my desk and had to do a sweeping photo so you couldn't make out the stuff I was using to create my 'secret' project. The tv is one my brother gave to me and sits right on the end of my crafting table so I can watch as I craft.
 The buffet and hutch above
Another buffet single layer near the computer desk
The extendable dining table and most comfy chairs

The new furniture quickly turned into a new photographic studio lol, the old one HERE can only be used when the sun is at a certain point, so no night photos. This new area has light coming in from the garage door or the flourescent light above all hours so its ideal and a larger area.
Some of you may have seen the picture and caption below on my post yesterday, and because all the Northern Hemisphere are coming into winter so I thought I'd share it again.
I made this cold and cough drink which consists of slices of lemon, fill jar with honey to cover lemons, add about a 2inch size of ginger sliced. When you want to make a hot drink scoop out a spoonful into a cup and add hot water. Voila infused ginger, lemon and honey drink to sooth that sore throat. We are coming out of our flu season and going into spring but I drink a cup of this a day all year round to keep bugs away from me and build my immune system up for the next winter season. Store in fridge, keeps up to 3 months if there is any left hahaha. Below is what it looks like after a few weeks in the fridge. Be sure to scoop the honey from the bottom as well.

Last week I posted up a photo of our library errrm hubby's library and  had some interesting comments that I'd like to answer....you will be pleased to know the cook books have their own shelf now, eye level to me.

Another comment was the way we displayed my painting, it is so heavy it wont survive going on a wall so we had to find an easel for it.

What a craft area Bridget - I am in awe! There is no way I would want the tv going as I craft - just could not handle it!

What a wonderful craft space you have. I might have to try your honey/lemon drink, as we are just starting the flu season here.

Wow what a great craft space you have there - good tip on the honey drink too, might give that a go as I feel a bit snively at the moment! Sunshine Girl #5

Hi Bridget,

Seems like you are getting some crafting done and some sorting. Sounds good that throat remedy but I can't have it, I'm allergic to ginger, makes me feel like I am having a heart attack.

Hope you have a good week.

I am in total envy at your work space, and love your desk - even at full stretch to hide your secret projects! The honey and lemon is a great idea, I may have to do that too as I have a sore throat at the moment.

That space is really enormous, Bridget. But how lovely to see you are now able to use the space for creativity. Enjoy.
Take care. God bless.

You have a fantastic work space. I'm just a little bit envious....
Thanks for the recipe. Sounds great! I hope I don't need to try it though. I live in Spain and our winters are not that bad. Plenty of sun.
I've looked at your books too. I'm not into chicklit but The 33 sounds interesting. The link didn't work but I assume it's the book about the miners. Is it good?
Thank you for letting me look over your shoulder. have a good week.

How fab to see some desk action! Doilies, lots of little ink pads and erm - you got enough green ribbon?!! The new furniture is lovely, great idea to have the glass topper on the table.

Hi Bridget Happy WOYWW.
Wowser, all that workbench space! Mine is all cluttered as you know but yours still looks bigger!

That is a great idea, to have ready made cold remedy to use, and it keeps the lemons. I might have a go if I can find a jar.

I love your new furniture, those chairs do look comfy.

Nice long shot of your work space. Can you actually reach those stamps behind the tables in the clear drawers? Do you have as many colour ribbons in any other shade other than green and white? #20

Love the furniture, and, of course, your workspace. Good to have a TV there to watch - I have freeview on my computer with quite a big screen, so best of both worlds. Thanks for sharing. Hope that you have a lovely crafting week to come. Hazel, WOYWW #81 x

I love seeing your beautiful big room, Bridget! It's like a warehouse! I'm another one that couldn't possibly watch TV while doing art - my multi-tasking skills have definitely gone off in recent years (probably due to M.E. brainfog lol!) and I'd either end up ignoring it or turning it off as an irritating background distraction, or giving it my whole attention and not doing anything creative!! I've got a little portable DVD player that I thought I might use up there but I never do.

I am definitely going to make up your cold/flu remedy. Do you find it works to keep the germs at bay if you have it every day? It would be no hardship anyway because it would be so delicious. (I just wish they'd make my awful medicine taste better as it's such an ordeal taking it. I prefer caramel or peanut butter choccie biccies lol!)

Happy belated WOYWW,
