WOYWW #173

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. It's only 12 weeks till Christmas!! I figured out that's why Wednesday's are coming around so quickly. Woohoo I love Christmas-do you?
What a mess and no I haven't packed up my craft stuff yet, the removalist's will do that. Many of you commented on my paper storage shelves, I was lucky that my previous workplace was throwing them out and I was lucky enough to get them before the tip truck took them away, fancy throwing out those expensive shelves, there are 12 of them and each one retails for $80 so I am hanging onto them, but I am avoiding having to pack up the cardstock to move.
I've been knitting to keep my hands busy when not packing, started another curly wurly scarf up the top of the picture, with one eye on a magazine about Will and Kate in the Pacific Region. The rest of the wool I am using to knit up miniature stockings.
The garage was such a mess I couldn't stand it and tidied it up so I had more room to stack filled boxes and furniture. My wonderful friend Nola helped me.
My vegemite left the building but I did find this newest version of vegemite that has cheese in it, it's not my favourite but it will do. I used to like it when it first came out. I've lost 4kgs since we found out we had to move, you wouldn't know it by the lashings of butter I put on my toast prior to vegemite tee hee.

WOYWW #172

It has begun!!
The craft desk is amazingly untouched, some clothes that were folded, knitting of the wurly curly scarf is done, that is keeping me sane so now I will have to start on something else, either more stockings for next year or a hat. Green Kindle cover to the left. Boxes of Christmas cards to the right all done.
Kitchen and linen cupboard stuff all packed in boxes ready to be moved. reason being that there are cupboards to move them to hee hee, so it will be 2 minute noodles and all that tuna for the next two weeks.
Oh dear I packed my vegemite, sniff sniff. Love my vegemite.
Mother Hubbard's cupboard is bare. Next week I'll be able to show you the new Craft room, it will be bare for now and then filled with boxes until I get it organised-whew what a job!!

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday
Sadly we were given 4 weeks notice to vacate this place we have lived in for the past 5 years, the neighbours are very very nice, it will be sad to leave them. The house was adequate and gave me plenty of room. So no desk to show except that this is what is going on in the garage, sorting, tossing, packing.
These are the craft boxes I have to go through to see if I need/lost/found stuff I have wanted for the last 5 years hahahaha
On a lighter note, if we get this place we saw yesterday it would be a huge bonus. There is a rumpus room under the main house that is perfect for my craft room. It is the size of our current lounge room/kitchen/dining room combined. Hubby said I will be contained in one room at last!!

Black & White Wednesday

I don't often take Black and White photos, so they are very rare for me. I found this truck that was used as an advertisement. Great use for an abandoned truck. The truck was green and rustic surrounded by brown grass that needed water badly but in Canberra the Capital of Australia it is the driest state brown grass is the norm.

Not much happening at my desk this week, went into hospital last Thursday and recuperating now.
The curly wurly scarf in the foreground, I almost knitted a whole ball waiting in hospital to be seen on Monday after complications with my surgery. The grey ball on the right is destined to be a neck scarf. I need to clean up the left side of the desk. I never had the Tuesday group girls over last week cos I wasn't feeling crash hot and didn't want to get sick prior to the surgery last Thursday, so the desk got half cleared away lol.
This is the start to an Asian Soup called Congee, it is eaten at breakfast like we eat porridge. My sister who is a great cook said the broth needs to be made one day and the rest of it made another day. Chicken carcass, pork bone and bacon bone (I couldnt get any pork bone so I used a ham hock, probably get yelled at by the expert cooks in the family but what can you do). 1 piece of ginger and Won ton soup base to make this stock

Pop on over to Julia's Stamping Ground to see more desks at work.
