Foto Friday Black and White # 75

This weeks theme at Foto Friday is Black and White
I took this down at Mogo Gold Rush Country, its a quaint little accommodation replica of the our Gold Rush era and just a walk up the road from Mogo Village.

WOYWW182

The Christmas Countdown is on, only 26 days it says.
Welcome to the weekly WOYWW desk hopping around the world craze by Julia Dunnit.
Yes I have missed 2 weeks of WOYWW, my desk just didnt change.
This is what my craft room has turned into....the weather has been so hot its the most pleasant room to sleep in, notice the tv has come back as well, we are watching tv there in the evenings and then Mr Crafty sleeps here as he cant stand the heat, I dont mind so much. the tables are to the right and I will have space to craft

I'm all confused today, WOYWW isn't up yet and Wednesday will be over for me, I checked and double checked my World Clock to see that it was indeed Wednesday today otherwise I am in deep trouble as I truly questioned myself at what day it was today as I took it off and if it wasn't Wednesday then I have taken off Tuesday from work and not Wednesday off LOL. Julia Dunnit you are messing with my head, I've just started a new job and shift work and my mind could be playing games. It is only 5am in England when it is 4pm here in Australia so I guess WOYWW still has 19 hours to post up and technically still be Wednesday.

Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday (posted on Tuesday)
I had a birthday on the 8th, my Monday craft group usually celebrates with us and I decided I would try my hand at making Cake Pops mine didnt turn out as nice as Pioneer Woman's but the feedback from MSG said they were nice, I didnt get to eat one as I had to run to get to work.
Next week I'll post more birthday cards that I have received, you can see the ones I got already over HERE
 Ingredients
 Toppings
Balls ready to rock and roll
The cake pops, unfortunately they didn't all fit in the vase so I had to leave the rest on a plate
No photos of my desk this week because it hasn't changed and I haven'd done anymore to the books I made. Hopefully next week I will get some time to finish them off, although with my new job and the new roster, it looks like a full on week.

Hope over to Julia's Stamping Ground to see more craft peoples week and desk all over the world

What's on your WorkTOPdesk Wednesday according to Jozart <tee hee>
WOYWW is famous again thanks to Jozart who went on BBC radio talk show with Sean Styles to talk about our Worktops as she called it. Found out we went famous again from Julia's post.
48 more days to Christmas!!
I came downstairs this morning to take my weekly show and tell photo and stepped on this disaster!!! I knew it would happen eventually but didn't expect it to be this soon WAAAAHHHHH. It was only just the other day that I thought I'd better strengthen the ends where the dowling sticks hung up
On the weekend I went to Mogo which is a tiny little settlement about 2.5hrs drive towards the coast to do a Booked and Bound class at Amanda's of Mogo. The classes were held at the Gold Rush Colony which is a historical 1850s theme park and accommodation. My desk above shows the 4 books I made. The black and silver one to the left was titled Double Concertina, green and morone one to the middle was titled Tags and Pockets, the off white with blue ribbon stitching to the front called Japanese Stab Binding which I noticed had incorrect stitching that is now fixed and the Fashion Plate one to the right still in plastic packaging to be completed (I will have photos of the complete book next week) and close ups.

This is where we crafted and crafted and crafted
I accidentaly started photographing in monochromatic-now you see why I call this place a dungeon-in black and white it looks like one hahahahah. I didnt get a chance to visit any of you last week, now you know why, I promise to visit all those that came by my next last week and those who will visit this week as well. I will also have some great news to share next week.
I thought I'd share this with you all as its a great concept in recycling

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday and 54 days till Christmas!!
That is a scary thought...are you all prepared?
I have a new name for my craft room...I call it the "Dungeon" because its located downstairs. I have never lived in a house with a 'downstairs room', and it reminds me of a dungeon.
This is the food corner in my craft room, that bottle of red stuff is non alcoholic grape juice, I don't drink liquor, wish I could sometimes, just don't like the taste.
My ribbon section, I came downstairs this morning to find the dowling sticks had come off their perch and all the ribbons had fallen off, lol, back to thinking of a new system to hang them up again...NAILS
My tool corner and shelves displaying the items I make and receive
My Grand Calibur and Bigshot desk. Of course this is not the completion of my craft room as I am constantly changing stuff around, although it doesn't look like it
Desk ready for Tuesday night stamping with the girls last night. As I still haven't unpacked my 30+ craft boxes, decorating CDs is the only thing I can do at the moment or crochet my towel toppers. Those paper plates and cups aren't for munchies, they are to hold the CDs when they have resin on them. After years of making these CDs and having them topple over I suddenly had an idea to apply some double sided tape the cups and adhere them to the plate to stop it from wobbling over and all my hard work going down the drain.
I tried to take the picture <above left> standing on a chair, the chair toppled over and I fell down and took the picture on the right on my way down LOL, it wasn't funny then but it is funny now that I see the photos and remembered my very unladylike fall. I think I twisted a few things in my side as its aching but nothing was broken. I did fall gracefully I might add as I was able to manoeuvre my fall.

This is the close-up of CDs that I have decorated. I will be doing classes in my new craft room teaching these, as it is now the season to do them. They can't be made in autumn or winter so they are a seasonal craft.

WOYWW #177

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday and 9 more weeks till Christmas!!

Not much progress this week because I was ill last weekend, made an improvised punch holder along the tops of the shelves. Table and chairs arrived from a work colleague.
Made some curtains to hide under table mess and storage. Put up rods to hold ribbons
There is more cardstock than there are paper shelves to house them LOL. I can put up 3 tables to hold classes if I chose to go down that route again, have had enquires about when I will start again
Boxes in garage down to my level now so I can open and unpack
Mr Crafty finally widdled down his CD collection to this. Lovely view out the window of the Brindabella mountains but the sun glare got in the way. I'll get a better picture of the view next time. The dining table will probably be the place to craft when I am on my own or when friends come around to craft and its too cold down in the dungeon tee hee.

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday

Sadly I have lost my tv that was on the dining/craft table in previous WOYWW pictures in the old house but I did hear Mr Crafty say we need a bigger tv as mine is too small in the large family it now sits in WOOHOO. He also promised that he would get me 2 cupboards to store (hide) stuff in so I could craft upstairs in the dining room when friends come over.
After 8 hours on the weekend this is as far as I got unpacking, this is the left side of the room, looking in from the door. Stamps and ink pads on those shelves to the left, white cupboard is still empty. Tools will be on the first table in the far corner
Middle of the room. It has changed somewhat since I took those pictures as I am progressing with the unpacking. The very far right blue looking table above the photographic tent is my coffee corner.
Rich side of the room, paper shelves are too small now that I have found heaps of boxes of cardstock I didnt know I had hahahaha
Remember my dining/craft table? Well look what Mr Crafty has done to it after telling me that I can't put my craft stuff there!!! He did feel sorry for me trudging up and down 16 stairs so he did say he would get me the 2 cupboards and I could 'occasional' craft upstairs.
Getting there slowly, still another 30 boxes to unpack-sigh-

WOYWW #175

Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday.
Well I had to miss last week because it was uplift day for our moving house. I still dont have any internet at home but am using my iphone as a hotspot to do this.
Craft stuff to the left side of the room, all those shelves black, blue, green hold stamps. Paper shelves are empty, they are in the milk crates behind the cupboard
This is the state of my new craft room, right hand side, tables, desks and shelves all over the place
I am in a dilemma here, this desk was supposed to  be where the stamp shelves where but now to have to move all of them before the desk can be moved over.
These 26 boxes hold all the stuff you saw in my previous WOYWW pictures, they are in the garage along with more shelves and guess what else the removalists put in here!! Our tv remote!!! What a cockup, that should have gone in our priority box grrrr, so now its getting up and changing the tv at the tv and only able to view 2 channels. The rest of the house is unpacked thank goodness.

A little bit about the new house, it is huge, much bigger than the old one and so much space and I have a room of my own to craft in that is 25 x 20 feet. The backyard is also huge and has the following trees: olive, loquat, 2 lemon trees, grapevine, apple, pear and 2 fig trees. I've started to collect jars from everyone in preparation of making jams. I have given away loads of lemons already. There is also a pizza oven outside. Our first attempt at lighting a fire didnt work out hahaha, we were all ready to make pizza dough.

WOYWW #173

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. It's only 12 weeks till Christmas!! I figured out that's why Wednesday's are coming around so quickly. Woohoo I love Christmas-do you?
What a mess and no I haven't packed up my craft stuff yet, the removalist's will do that. Many of you commented on my paper storage shelves, I was lucky that my previous workplace was throwing them out and I was lucky enough to get them before the tip truck took them away, fancy throwing out those expensive shelves, there are 12 of them and each one retails for $80 so I am hanging onto them, but I am avoiding having to pack up the cardstock to move.
I've been knitting to keep my hands busy when not packing, started another curly wurly scarf up the top of the picture, with one eye on a magazine about Will and Kate in the Pacific Region. The rest of the wool I am using to knit up miniature stockings.
The garage was such a mess I couldn't stand it and tidied it up so I had more room to stack filled boxes and furniture. My wonderful friend Nola helped me.
My vegemite left the building but I did find this newest version of vegemite that has cheese in it, it's not my favourite but it will do. I used to like it when it first came out. I've lost 4kgs since we found out we had to move, you wouldn't know it by the lashings of butter I put on my toast prior to vegemite tee hee.

WOYWW #172

It has begun!!
The craft desk is amazingly untouched, some clothes that were folded, knitting of the wurly curly scarf is done, that is keeping me sane so now I will have to start on something else, either more stockings for next year or a hat. Green Kindle cover to the left. Boxes of Christmas cards to the right all done.
Kitchen and linen cupboard stuff all packed in boxes ready to be moved. reason being that there are cupboards to move them to hee hee, so it will be 2 minute noodles and all that tuna for the next two weeks.
Oh dear I packed my vegemite, sniff sniff. Love my vegemite.
Mother Hubbard's cupboard is bare. Next week I'll be able to show you the new Craft room, it will be bare for now and then filled with boxes until I get it organised-whew what a job!!

WOYWW #171

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday
Sadly we were given 4 weeks notice to vacate this place we have lived in for the past 5 years, the neighbours are very very nice, it will be sad to leave them. The house was adequate and gave me plenty of room. So no desk to show except that this is what is going on in the garage, sorting, tossing, packing.
These are the craft boxes I have to go through to see if I need/lost/found stuff I have wanted for the last 5 years hahahaha
On a lighter note, if we get this place we saw yesterday it would be a huge bonus. There is a rumpus room under the main house that is perfect for my craft room. It is the size of our current lounge room/kitchen/dining room combined. Hubby said I will be contained in one room at last!!

Black & White Wednesday

I don't often take Black and White photos, so they are very rare for me. I found this truck that was used as an advertisement. Great use for an abandoned truck. The truck was green and rustic surrounded by brown grass that needed water badly but in Canberra the Capital of Australia it is the driest state brown grass is the norm.
