WOYWW 154

It's that time of the week again Wednesday and Workdesks. I've been very busy crafting this week as well as other duties The ATCs for WOYWW 156 have moved to the other end of the table, I am rethinking the design as they have all curled up.
Read about the WOYWW Anniversary ATCs here only two more weeks to go.
I have now started on my Christmas Cards for Stockings for Soldiers. You can read about this worthy cause that I am involved in coordinating here
Here is a vertical close up view using lace and glitter to decorate the cards
the stamp says MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM DOWN UNDER
(FROM DOWN UNDER is written upside down)
For the food lovers my dinner was curry chicken, Chinese Sausages, Rice and my absolute favourite Okra with Belacan sauce
Angie from Shozzys Place asked for the recipe above, the okra and belacan sauce was left over from a restaurant visit, the Chinese sausage was just from a packet and steamed with the rice. The curry chicken is easy as peasy. Onion, garlic, curry powder, chicken pieces, cook in slow heat until all the meat juices come out, it's done

To update you all on last weeks post about the money on my desk, I wouldn't hand over the jacket until Hubby promised me a reward little did I know he would follow through-it was a joke-
I just wanted to know how much he loved that jacket and am pleased to know it wasn't worth as much as me tee hee.

I only like okra that is fried in some way. Nothing boiled for me. But I really LIKE that stamp. Got a kick out of it, even though it's nowhere NEAR Christmas. So where is all your camera stuff this week? Happy WOYWW from #5.

Love okra! Love your Merry Christmas cards - the lace is exquisite. Try sticking the curled up atc's on another sheet of card and they should be fine. Enjoy making them.

No need to re-think the ATCS, just stick em onto another piece of card, that'll pull 'em straight! So whats the Lime tart Copic Club then? Nice box!! Glad to hear that your hubby passed the test!!

Angie said...

Thanks for adding how you created your meal ...I have posted the scone/biscuit recipe now ...hope you have fun making them.

Love Okra and my mouth is watering looking at the photo. Well done on cards for troops. I used to supply a friend with cards to re-make and bag up but we have no address in the UK to send them to. Such a shame.
Your workspace is fab - so much room. LOL

I'm also wondering what The Lime Tart Copic Club is...
Anyhow, you have lots of space to spread out and that is pretty sweet! And it looks like you keep it busy. :)

Dinner looks totally yummy. Is there any chance you can put your curled up bits under something heavy and flatten them out again? Or maybe mount them onto a heavy flat piece? I hate it when things go wonky. You have a nice large workspace.

Laura said...

How nice to have so much flat space to work! I am all the time putting things to flatten overnight under my heaviest paper punches. Sometimes it works better than others. :) Happy WOYWW from Laura #117

Hey Bridget,

Looks like you have the happenings on your desk, good on you for doing the ATC's early, shame you have to change tactics with them, just when you thought it was all sorted and it doesn't work out.

Keep up the good work.
Oh I think it is getting really cold up your way now.

Ooh, yummy foooood! It looks lovely. As for the ATCs, curling is a hazard because of the small surface area. I put them in a big heavy book for a couple of days or so - or under a glass mat with something weighty on top. They'll be fine!

Too early in the morning for me and Okra as I haven't had my porridge yet. Your desk looks very organised this week and I'm sure your ATCS will be OK if you back them on another piece of card - stick them all down at once and then cut round, works for me.

As an Army wife, I love, love, love that you are supporting your soldiers!! Thank you on their behalf!

Last year my desk looked like yours while I was creating Christmas cards...late! Ugh! This year I started in January and make one, at least, a week so that I'm not so frazzled again this year!
