WOYWW 157

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday!
I was still trying to finish off my ATCs for 2 swaps, finally got them done so now I can post to everyone that wanted one. What a surprise I got yesterday, an ATC from May's Happy Daze all the way from the UK, that was some speedy post. It has a cracked glass technique over the photo and I love the ATC size envelope it came in.
A new addiction to my messy table, Emma my youngest who came down for a quick visit 3.5hrs drive all on her own, at night, she did get lost but I didn't know that. Love you Emma

For those of you curious about how many ATCs I made that was on my desk, it was 108 altogether so if you still have spares and want to swap just drop me a line. Having said that I need snail mail addresses for the following people that wanted to swap or wanted one of my ATCs Neet, Mark Gould, Angie Shozzy, Tuire Flemming, Trish Inky Beads, Vickie Okienurse

I am also swapping/giving to the following people Ann Bletcher, Anne Redfern, Janet Batten, kathie Garyson, Lorinda Fraser, Mary Mcmillan, Maxine Diffey, Morti, roslyn McGechan, Vonny Kennedy, Wanda stivison, Mark Gould, Angie Shozzy, Kay Hammock, Ramona Vincent, Sam Hall, Sam Hall.

Last week so many of you asked what and how to do the Hairspray Technique so I thought I'd share the website here that I got it off, its by INK STAINED RONI, enjoy and let me know how you all went if you tried it out.

FOOD!! We had nachos thanks to Emma's request but in all the excitement I forgot to take a photo, sorry folks.

So run on over to Julia's place to see what else goes on in the world of crafting desks

That was some marathon making of ATC's!!
I tried the technique - not that successfully, but I used it as a background on my last (blogged) card.

I remember that post from Roni. I haven't owned hair spray since the 80s (high school and big hair) and I have no gloss card stock, so I probably won't be making it anytime soon. But I sure appreciate the link, anyway. Glad your daughter made it home OK. Happy WOYWW from #4

What a beautiful display of ATCs, Bridget, and very well done indeedy for making so many! I love the "new addition" to your desk this week and glad she was able to visit. I am feeling very deprived and hungry, with no food photo this time lol!!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog, and glad you like the latest zentangle art. I'm hoping to post about it later today so keep your eyes open! There will be some better photos then.

It's been a pretty rough time health wise recently, but as you say, having the Jubilee on TV was brilliant - I reclined on the recliner and watched and watched, and cried many tears of pride and joy in our wonderful, wonderful Queen - God bless her!! It's been an incredible few days, and I admire her so much, keeping going through it all, at her age. Just hoping Prince Philip will soon be fighting fit again, too.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Bridget, love your cluttered table, try as I may mine will not be party to mess so it doesn't really look like a craft desk lol.

I haven't ventured into the ATC lark yet, got too many commissioned cards to make at the mo but will try to give them a try soon.

We live at Robina by the way.
Cheers,
Elaine

That is one huge effort to do so many ATC's. I had trouble just getting my 5 done! You are incredible.
Have a great week down in freezing Canberra.

That is an amazing number of atc's and you have displayed them beautifully. I agree we should organise an aussie woyww day and meet midway between Canberra and Sydney or midway between ACT and QLD as there seem to be a few woyww in QLD? It all gets a little complicated? But I am open to the idea....

Aww Bridget - my greatest fan!! Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog, and so glad you like the way the zentangle art is developing! I love working with my new Inktense pencils! However, this doesn't mean I shall be abandoning black and white, which has great impact, I think. It's just variety. I'm loving the extra scope the colour offers.

Thanks for your comment re my stencils, Bridget. Basically you just lay them down and paint over them, and the paint only goes through the holes! You can also lay them down over wet paint and rub the paint away through the holes. I did some with my small circles stencil that I cut a while back, on my first Fine Art Album page - if you look on my blog you'll see - I rubbed the paint away in this case, leaving lighter coloured circles on the dark paint background. Stencils are great for creating arty backgrounds and adding texture too. Once I get time to do more mixed media art, you'll be seeing the stencils in use.
