WOYWW #173

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. It's only 12 weeks till Christmas!! I figured out that's why Wednesday's are coming around so quickly. Woohoo I love Christmas-do you?
What a mess and no I haven't packed up my craft stuff yet, the removalist's will do that. Many of you commented on my paper storage shelves, I was lucky that my previous workplace was throwing them out and I was lucky enough to get them before the tip truck took them away, fancy throwing out those expensive shelves, there are 12 of them and each one retails for $80 so I am hanging onto them, but I am avoiding having to pack up the cardstock to move.
I've been knitting to keep my hands busy when not packing, started another curly wurly scarf up the top of the picture, with one eye on a magazine about Will and Kate in the Pacific Region. The rest of the wool I am using to knit up miniature stockings.
The garage was such a mess I couldn't stand it and tidied it up so I had more room to stack filled boxes and furniture. My wonderful friend Nola helped me.
My vegemite left the building but I did find this newest version of vegemite that has cheese in it, it's not my favourite but it will do. I used to like it when it first came out. I've lost 4kgs since we found out we had to move, you wouldn't know it by the lashings of butter I put on my toast prior to vegemite tee hee.

Hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground to find more desks.

I missed last week, and feel like I'm in the dark. Sorry to read you have to move, but love those expensive shelves filled with all that paper. Happy WOYWW from #4.

Hi,
I guess the countdown begins until you move into your new home, I would be so paranoid about the movers packing up my craftroom, were an army family so I sit and watch them pack up my goodies like a hawk....
Hope you find time to create today....

Mr. O and I are wanting to relocate also, but I do dread packing up this room for a move.

12 weeks? yikes, frankly I'd rather not know and just let it creep up on me! lol I think there is something about knowing, and not being prepared and not having the excuse that time just slipped up on you! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

You have a very bust crafting space Bridget, but then don't we all?
You sound as if you were so lucky with the shelves.
Happy WOYWW and have a creative end to the week.

I am trying to wrap my brain around vegemite with cheese...not so sure about that! I remember the first time I tried plain vegemite and slathered it on bread like peanut butter...can't say it was the best thing to do. I guess it is like peanut butter is to us in the states but it was a surprise and something I had to get used to! I am feeling moving pains for you! Hope they can get it packed quickly and your move will go without a hitch. Have a great week. Vickie #87

Eeek! Christmas is when??!!! Having just moved (and downsized) you have my sympathy! Didn't trust the removal men to pack my stuff but realised afterwards that I probably could have.... they were brilliant! Good Luck, Chris

12 weeks until Christmas??!! It seems that today on WOYWW I keep getting these subtle messages that I need to get a start on my Christmas cards. LOL. Looks like your place is just a bee hive of activity. Hope your move goes well.

Oh - do you think it will be safe to entrust your valuable craft stuff to removal men? At least you're still able to knit to keep yourself sane in the middle of all the packing!

There is no way in hell I would let the movers pack up my craft stuff, it just couldn't handle that. Glad to hear you are better and loosing weight, wish I could.

Hi Bridget! I have one of those paper racks...bought it from a scrapbook store that went out of business. HOWEVER, I don't really have room in my room! It's kind of behind the door...not a good place. And mine needs to be cleaned out! In fact, my whole crafting existence needs serious cleaning!

Julia Dunnit said...

I'm with Eliza, my inner control freak wouldn't let me have anyone else pack up the craft stuff, funny aren't we!! What's the chart in the folder all abut then?

Oh Bridget...I have been absent from WOYWW lately...Posted on this one quite unexpectedly actually!

I did not know you were moving...i sure hope you get the place with the finished basement for crafting in...that sounds like it would be fabulous!
I will pray that you get it.

Hi there Bridget,
ah moving you do have my sympathy indeed hate it with a vengeance as seems not matter how much care certain things totally disappear, like lids on tupperware never to be found again.
Now that is some desk, I see what you mean by your comment on my blog - but you see I like the size of my desk; find I keep it tidier cos it is not so big as the dining table I used to use - then plenty of room to spread out and so I did!! but yes adore you paper shelves..but one of them would do me - you can pack it in your boot when you come up here - tee hee!
Thanks so much for popping over and thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #21

Well done on the weight loss (if you wanted it) shows what bending and stretching can do for one.
Love the desk, in fact love your whole area. Can't wait to see the new one when you move.
Thanks for sharing and for stopping by my blog. Hugs, Neet x #5

wonderful craft space with all those wonderful paper shelves! oh but moving all that seems to be a big job! your vegemite reminded me of when we visited Australia and they had me try it out. actually, i don't remember exactly how it tastes but i remember that i couldn't understand why they loved it so much. next time i have the opportunity, i'll try it again.

Hi Bridget

I couldn't help but look back a few posts to get the gist og your moving dilemma.... Sorry to hear you only got 4 weeks notice after all that time living in the house - it's such a shame that its legal - but I suppose there are two sides to that... I hope you got that place you were looking at with the large basement... you never mentioned whether you did or not so unsure!

So, you are lingering on in the craft room as long as possible then? I'd be still messing about when the others were moving in...

Good luck with the move - however it pans out, sorry about your vegimite - not a fan but that stuff looks disgusting (sorry)!!! I'd lose all that weight if thats all I had to eat but then I hardly eat anyway but nothing budges!

Wishing you well with the move and everything that goes with it,

Paula x x x (#127)

Just keep taking deep breaths! ;D
