WOYWW #202 Video setup

Whats on Your My Work Desk Wednesday
I was testing my camera tripod to see how it went with taking photos on its own or even a video. Opps can still see the Ichiban noodle box (still full of noodles) being used as a photographic prop lol
The drape of blue was used to photograph the wedding shoe I made. You can see the shoe on my craft blog. The drape to the right was just hanging there as I had the material ironed and didn't want it to crease when I needed it. I still love this U-shaped set up....
....this desk seems to be used as a 'spare' desk now as I cast a shadow over my work when I sit at it, I don't like working in my shadow....
I went to a fundraising for breast cancer craft day on the weekend run by Capa and Cate Revill, the bag is still unpacked as I was sick on the weekend as well and have not ventured downstairs to unpack.
This is the desk that was meant to be a spare but it is my favourite one to work on because of the lighting. Beautiful flowers that I purchased from Ann-Maree at Craftyas.

Hop on over to Julia Dunnit's Stamping Ground to visit vicariously more desks around the world to see what everyone is up to.

Can I move into this room please? I feel right at home and the camera set ups are brilliant. I have to either shoot on the floor or go outside...My hubby has swiped my "spare" table! #34

Oh wow I know I keep saying it but what a GREAT craft room and so much going on in there! My lighting is terrible and I am thinking of ways to make it better that doesn't cost a lot. Happy WOYWW.

It is awesome to have enough desk space to work freely, isn't it? Your set up is great. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #70 xx

Love the look of that camera and set up - awesome!! I hate working in my shadow too, so I don't blame you working on your 'spare' desk.

I am so aware that my blog photography is very much catch-as-catch-can - weird angles, shadows, blurry and at time it does a great disservice to the project. I tend to work, with my camera to the side, and grab it snap a photo, plunk it down again (hopefully not in a puddle of paint!) and carry, then grab & snap at the next step. You are far more dedicated that me. Your room looks like a fun place to play - mummmmmm...noodles!

I love your U shaped set up too, that would be my preference in here as I am always shuffling between 2 tables, alas it wouldn't work in my little room! Maybe when I do my next do over!

You have a lovely space to work and the photography set ups so clever. I still can't take pictures of my cards without them looking wonky!

Hi Bridgett,

I have said it before you do have an amazing space and I am so envious that you can just change tables when ever you want.

Sounds like you had a great time at the crop.

The little stand I got from the KaiserCraft Shop and it is a book stand, I just want to use it for cards.

It is obvious that you love taking pictures and you are very creative at the pictures you take. I would never have thought to drape some fabric behind my cards to make them stand out a little bit. You also have quite the stash , lots to create with...so much fun to see...Hope you are feeling better and will have lots of time to craft this week, Hugs, Cathryn #141

Isn't it funny how we can set something up just so, and yet it still works out better another way? :) Love all that you have going on and thanks for showing us lots of pictures. And thanks for stopping by my desk and leaving me a comment already. I do hope you are recovered from your weekend illness by now. :) Deeyll #139

Wow Bridget, what a huge work-area! I also have more than one desk - it's so handy - one for mess and one for work, eh!

I love your camera set-up too. I have a small digi-snapshot camera, which has to "do" for me, but Mr LizzieMade bought me a mini tripod for my birthday last year and my niece gave me a pop-up light box - both very useful. One day, I will have a HUGE camera like yours!

You're certainly very busy - wedding shoes, lovely cards, crafting weekends (sorry you were sick)... lots going on. I haven't visited your blog before, but I'll keep an eye out for new posts in future!

Oh to have that space! My photo set-up is NOT working well, at all. It's a space between an east-facing window and a bed--not enough space, either. Looks as if you have a nice sturdy tripod; I've been using my lighter-weight one, but I think I need to pull out the heavy one.

505whimsygirl said...

Hi Bridget,

Isn't it interesting what you'll find to use as a prop! I bought a small camera that I can carry in my purse and I'm finding that I really need to be steady with it -- but I sure don't want to carry around a tripod!

Nice looking work area this week, as always.

Hope you are feeling better soon! And thanks for visiting me!
Happy WOYWW

WOW Bridget, you've sure got a lot going on there! There is so much stuff in your "room" I don't know where to look first!
The little box from Sandra is an "altered box", that is, it was used for something else before it was decorated. It's about 10 x 7 cm and the inside slides out with a little ribbon tab. Amongst all the bits and pieces decorating it there is alcohol ink used for most of the colouring, I think. It IS lovely, isn't it?
