WOYWW #258

Well I have been missing in action for quite a while now but I have a good reason for it.
My last desk was 10 weeks ago wow how time has flown.
We've successfully moved with a few hiccups but it's all good now and this is the state of my craft room which I should add is twice the size of my last one which was 2 meters x 3 meters (8x12 feet)
This one is now 8 meters by 11 meters (26 x 36 feet).
When I first saw it I said to hubby "this room is too big", he rolled his eyes as he knows well how big is never too big for crafting.

 Another view
Michael can also have a desk in the corner, what a mess!! Paper shelves still waiting to be filled
My corner desk with computer and my brother gave me his tv so I can watch downstairs when Michael goes to bed upstairs. or just watch tv while I am crafting
To the far right  is a room that has shelves and no windows which I will use to store my jam, perfect room. We shall also grow mushrooms in there too. The room with the door open is the toilet and bathroom.
As you can see it is an ironing room too, I don't mind as its so big and I haven't totally unpacked yet, I counted 70 boxes still left to unpack
This corner was used as a kitchen by the previous tenants, it is also the laundry too
Looking from the laundry side towards the back of the room, my desk is at the far right corner under the window. Michaels desk is to the left corner or the middle of the picture under the light to the left. The unpacking is slow going because I had to start work a week after we moved in. So I am unpacking a little bit at a time whenever I get a spare moment.

Linking up with Julia's Stamping Ground to see more crafty desks

I think that might be larger than the entire living space of my house! And my house isn't really small...
Nice to have the space, I'm sure!

I see lots of potential in this room. And having both a bath AND a kitchen area will be quite useful, if you do any wet type art. I think it's fabulous, and can't wait to see progression shots each week.

Happy WOYWW from # 1.

One thing I totally miss living in the UK is the HUGE basement we had in pretty much every house I ever lived in in the States - well, not the browstone in NYC when I was a kid, but all the rest of them. Such a useful space and not as dark and dingy as people assume, esp. with a walk-out that has a door and windows and loads of light. Your space looks fab and has the advantage of being able to hide it all away. What I wouldn't give.... :)

Oh Bridget! That is the most FANTASTIC craft space! Everyone will be green with envy, I certainly am!
Thanks for dropping by, and yes, I did take some rather good photos on the weekend (Sydney to Cooma), mainly of sunsets and clouds which I was thinking of printing as backgrounds for some "stampscaping". Maybe I will put some of the pics up later?
Have a good week,

Welcome back Bridget!!! I've been thinking about you so here you are!

What a great space. Look at all those boxes to unpack - lucky you! I mean that sincerely because it's crafty goodness inside. I'm slowly moving boxes from my storage unit back to my house and it's amazing at some of the things I've found in those boxes. It's like Christmas.

Are you still in Australia? It seems you were going to move to the States (my memory is terrible) at one point.

Welcome back to WOYWW

As my nephew would say, that's fancy living. Not only a craftroom, but a room for jams and growing mushroomss! I still have boxes to unpack from 2006, but to be fair, whenever I unpacked the last box I had to move soon after so... Happy WOYWW! #66

Definitely not too big for crafting - not possible. Just to cheer you up, my camera recharger turned up last night so I just need to find my acrylic paints and my expensive handbag mirror. Hope you soon find the right box to find yours. xx Maggie #20

Too much room, Bridget? Never. My hubby reckons that I could manage to fill Buckingham Palace, given half a chance - so you will do just nicely there. ENJOY!!

Hi Bridget,

I have been wondering how you have been going, if you were settled in or not. What a massive space, you need office partitions for that room but what an amazing room it will be with all your goodies. Take your time unpacking it can be tedious. Have a great week. When you are ready can you send me your snail mail addy please.

Hi Bridget, what an amazing space! So glad the move went off ok- unpacking does take forever though, I agree. You have no idea of the heated discussions I had with the courier company- who were the problem, not the supplier- over the two weeks we waited for a next day delivery! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #29 xx
