WOYWW #176

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday

Sadly I have lost my tv that was on the dining/craft table in previous WOYWW pictures in the old house but I did hear Mr Crafty say we need a bigger tv as mine is too small in the large family it now sits in WOOHOO. He also promised that he would get me 2 cupboards to store (hide) stuff in so I could craft upstairs in the dining room when friends come over.
After 8 hours on the weekend this is as far as I got unpacking, this is the left side of the room, looking in from the door. Stamps and ink pads on those shelves to the left, white cupboard is still empty. Tools will be on the first table in the far corner
Middle of the room. It has changed somewhat since I took those pictures as I am progressing with the unpacking. The very far right blue looking table above the photographic tent is my coffee corner.
Rich side of the room, paper shelves are too small now that I have found heaps of boxes of cardstock I didnt know I had hahahaha
Remember my dining/craft table? Well look what Mr Crafty has done to it after telling me that I can't put my craft stuff there!!! He did feel sorry for me trudging up and down 16 stairs so he did say he would get me the 2 cupboards and I could 'occasional' craft upstairs.
Getting there slowly, still another 30 boxes to unpack-sigh-
To vicariously travel around the world and see who started all this mess and have lots more desks to share, jump on over to Julia's Stamping Ground

Holy moly Bridget. You've done a lot of unpacking! How sweet of your hubby to get two closing cupboards so you can stash some crafting supplies upstairs!

Wow - you have so much space - and so much stash too ! It's starting to look brilliant - you could have us all over for a craft party & we'd fit it !! Well done you for all the sorting out - and you will now be reminded exactly all the stash you have - so bound to be some great projects coming up soon ! Ali #48

It may be taking a while but it will be a fantastic space fully organised. I am very envious (if you see mine today you will know why...) Helen 4

Wow what a fabulous craft room you have! I have now moved my craft room into my dining room permanently - I just clear enough space for everyday eating on the table and then the whole table on a Sunday or for a party - its not ideal but it works for me! Enjoy the rest of the unpacking - I am sure you have other stuff there that you have forgotten about too! Thanks for sharing - Sunshine Girl no. 57

you have the most amazing amount of space. I feel like I am crafting in a cubicle. Ohh I am. Well done for being so organised and creating another crafty haven.

Holey Moley! That is a GREAT space. I would KILL for the room to spread out and still have everything in one place! Two things WOYWW is bad for - your budget, as there is ALWAYS something you just have to have, and craft-envy :) I'm sure coveting your neighbour's craft space HAS to be a sin.....

Love seeing how your new craft room is developing, so much space to fill, and can't wait to see how soon it is before those walls are covered in art.

Holy malooly what a lot of unpacking and setting up you've been doing Bridget. Your new room looks fantastic. I'm so envious.

Doing a catchup sounds like a great idea too. We should be here in January, no plans at this stage so we'll keep in touch and maybe make a time and place as it gets nearer huh?

I bet your craft room took longer to move than the rest of the house! I would be the same - but I bet you have had fun rediscovering old stash long forgotten! Great job keep it up as the end is in sight! Have a great week WOYWW Hugs from Helen 77

Oh that's looking great! Good job, I would find it a lot of fun to arrange a room like that! Sounds like you have a keeper in that hubby of yours!! Actually, I prefer what's on your dining table to what's on mine!

Wow, your room is looking so good...It is really coming together. Everything looks so organized.

I am down a flight of stairs from DH too. He calls it the dungeon and hardly comes down. I make up card kits to work on 3 or maybe 4 similar cards. I put the card stock, some ribbon, some brads, some embellies, some designer papers, a stamped sentiment or two, some rolled off dies and toss it all in baggies. I large 13x16 one for the papers and a small one for the pokey bits that could mar the papers.I then number the bags something like 1A and 1B. I then throw them into a container i have and once I have 6 or 7 sets made up, ai have enough to go to a crop or visit a friend for a graft day.
Maybe that would work for when you want to craft upstairs. When the evening is over you just take the bag of tuff back down!

WOW, such a huge space. I would never find anything in a space that size, though. How much stuff have you found that you had forgotten, I ask. Have a wonderful time sorting it all out. xx Maggie #65

I'm not sure which is worst, packing or unpacking! But very soon you will have it all set up, except for the months of tweaking! lol I'm always looking for better ways to organize mine, and I've been in my place a little over a year! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

your room is coming along nicely, must admit it is nice to have a tv in a craft room, I don't watch anything during the day when I am busy but when hubby is late home from work I do like to watch and play in the evening!

Oh my gorgeous. Brick and what looks like an easily cleanable floor and space. Also you appear to have quite a bit of space.

Sorry, I'm pretty sure this room is as least as big as the main room of my apartment. What a fantastic craft room it's going to be once you get everything unpacked! 30 more boxes seems like a lot.

Oh wow, Bridget, your new craft room is aymayzing!! I am so glad you've found somewhere with a room that's suitable for you - I love the brick walls and those fabulous windows. It looks as if you are already getting really organised, and it looks a great space to work in. I am sure you will soon be sorted and organised, and I look forward to seeing you hard at work in it, with, of course, the essential plate of delicious food to make all our mouths water!!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I've really missed everyone on WOYWW recently, and it's so nice to be back! Hopefully Mr. Mojo won't up-sticks and retreat in disgust again any time soon - I'm determined to keep him on a tight leash despite family crises! It's great to even feel like thinking about being creative, and even better to actually be doing it lol!!

I finished the art journal page last night after posting for WOYWW, so if you want to see the completed page, pop back and have a peek! I'm really pleased how it turned out.

Happy belated WOYWW, and thanks again for all your support, Bridget - so much appreciated my dear!

Hi Bridget,

lovely to see the progress of the craft room coming along. I bet you have more boxes for there than the rest of the place?!!!

In one of the pictures with the line of tables, it looks like people are unpacking for a craft fair!

Loving seeing it come along - please keep the pics coming.
