WOYWW #192

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday #192
Hello! Did you miss me?
Been away on holiday and went into hospital this week, minor procedure so nothing to worry about. These were done last week, my desk is clean and void of any crafting since.
So my desk was a bit messy with alcohol inks, I love this technique, will never grow old and there are so many possibilities
This is the acetate sheet that was used to apply to alcohol inks onto the card stock. I love experimenting with colours and making lots so whenever I need a card in a hurry I already have the background made. Next week I will show you the progress I have made adding more texture to the finished card stock.

To see more work desk jump over to Julia's Stamping Ground.

P.S. there's just been a Tsunami warning for the pacific which includes Australia's East coast mainly Brisbane/Gladstone/Sydney, information is posted here and here
stay safe everyone

Glad you're over the procedure, and yes, stay safe gal, the weather around the world is at such extremes. Loving your desk, although it looks like a runway, and the colours are gorgeous. I'm completely over the AI and my collection (of four) so this is a sight for sore eyes!

This technique looks very fun. May need to go buy some alcohol inks. Looking forward to the post on texture.

Now I need to go nose at your other post I saw. I peeked a camera picture. I am purchasing a new one soon, so going to go nose around and see yours.

Hope you get a chance to check out my blog and desk.
Have a great day.

Fab colors! I've used alcohol inks direct to shiny paper never to acetate first. Hmm I'll have to look this one up too. Happy WOYWW! Nan 28

I've never heard of alcohol inks before - I'm curious how you got those effects in your post. Do you apply the ink to the acetate then transfer it? It looks interesting!

What a wonderful, colourful desk this week, Bridget! I'd love to know how you do that technique.

Thanks for your visit and your good wishes for our move. It's been in the wind for a long time - the original plan was to get my parents' house sold and get them settled in a more convenient area now they are so elderly. Their house has been on the market over a year. During that time Dad has had to move to a residential home and Mum shouldn't really be on her own any more, so we've decided to move in with her in the new house prior to my hubby retiring - he will have to commute for a year. It all happened quite quickly that we received an offer on their house, and ours was accepted on the house we want. We are still in the early pre-Contract stage so things could still go wrong but we are hoping it will go through smoothly now. I had anticipated having at least a year to get our stuff sorted in this house before the move, but if the legal stuff goes through OK, it could happen a lot more quickly than that. There's a great deal to do and not too much time to do it in!!!

Happy belated WOYWW,
