WOYWW #145

Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday

I am so glad my post last week on WOYWW # 144
made so many of you laugh, thanks for all the feedback.
As you can see I have moved all my photography posts to this new blog,
I needed to separate it from my crafting blog.
So if you were subscribed to my other blog for WOYWW posts then you
will need to resubscribe or follow this one again as they aren't linked.

As you can see I have not progressed with my tidy up, all the craft stuff is still on the bed
and no I do not like the spare room I am currently camping in.
The clean desk is now a mess and not from crafting.
I tried to do some colouring with my inktense and prisma pencils.
Bought some new red sticky tape from my friend
who has just been made a spellblogger at Spellbinders
woohoo I was so excited for her when I saw the news posted.
You can see her name up in lights HERE
I made some Fudgy Wudgy cookies on the weekend,
as you can see the top photo shows the duds, there was too much butter
in the recipe, don't you hate it when that happens,
recipes are supposed to be perfect.
The bottom picture shows my attempt at the recipe with less butter, way way better
Mr Crafty has promised me a ridgy didge camera and I chose the
I hope my photography daughter doesn't read this post,
she'll want to 'borrow' my camera.
(I caved and had to call DD to ask her advise on what camera lol)
I was allowed to get a
Canon EOS 600D
(click on each of the above links to see reviews)
I got the twin lens set so watch out WOYWW when I get that
camera in my hands. It's on back order and should be with me next week.

I invested in this as well

Your desk just shows what a busy life you have! I bought my hubby a Canon EOS 5 a few years back and last birthday, updated it to an Eos 7. It was expensive but he loves photography so much AND has to put up with me, so he deserved it!! I look forward to some fab pics from you :)

Yummy looking cookies and I'm so envious of your new camera. My Dad bought me a Canon SLR some 30 years ago. I still have it tucked away as I can't bear to part with it. I have 2 digitals now but they just don't have the 'magic' of real film.

Now I bet you still ate the fudgy wudgy duds!!!
Nice big expanse of desk to play on there.
We did try to save the tree over a few years but it had given up. So sad!
Love JoZarty x

What a great new camera. I know you'll enjoy it! :)

I had to chuckle at the person who asked how you could work with a TV in front of you. I often work better with my TV on as well. Not sure why but it's true. :)

Nice work area with lotsa goodies.

I'm in the camp of can't craft in front of a TV, then again, I could live my life totally fine without a TV (but the hubby was a package deal). Have fun with your new camera!

You can't go too wrong with a Canon! I have the Rebel XTi and I love it. Someday I will upgrade again, but it serves my purpose for now. Still waiting to see nude... I mean new photos of you wearing stamps. lol

This week was my turn with my blog humor. Stop by. lol

Shucks. I'll eat the cookies with too much butter. I envy you your new camera. And since you asked, mine is old and horrible to use. And the lighting I got was the sun glaring on the lens. Nothing big, just one way to hold the camera.

Julia Dunnit said...

Watch out WOYWW! Love that idea, how exciting!! I don't believe you can have too much butter really?!! Expect you;ll be playing more with your camera than sitting at your desk this week - enjoy.

Rather ironically, the word verification is on for this comment..

In answer to Maxine Diffeys question about how I can craft with a tv in front of me....sometimes it gets too quiet with only me around so I have the tv on for noise..and sometimes I put a craft dvd on so its handy there

Thanks for your comment on my blog, Bridget. Not sure what the outcome of the Choc-a-Bloc project will be - could be a total disaster but it could turn out as something special! We will just have to wait and see...

great looking desk and I have a TV right in front of me when I craft also. Mainly for the background noise and it makes me focus on what I am doing. Loved the look of all those pencils till I saw the cookies. Girl my diet is blown as I am heading for the kitchen right now! Thanks for sharing and thanks for visiting my desk this week. Have a great week. Vickie @106
