WOYWW 246

This will be my last What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday in this very short lived house, the shortest time we have ever lived in a house Sep 2013 - Feb 2014

It's been a sad time culling ready to pack up next week. Next week Wednesday when you are all roaming around the world looking at desks, our household goods will be loading onto a truck and put in storage ready for the word from us to send it up 1,224 kms or a 13 hour drive.

Here is the progress I have made on those Wedding Invitations (not much) just kidding, all the bits are cut ready to go and get assembled. Check out my left foot, I was standing on a chair to take this photo and didn't realise my foot was showing because I was holding the camera facing down and away from me.

Now I've moved everything upstairs as I dont need to use any machines or large cutting implements so I only need a smidgen of a desk to work on...ahem well 2 and the top of the filing cabinet hee hee which is to the right and out of camera range. See the tray from my Tuesday T cup that I broke, it came in useful holding the buckles for the invites. (this photo was taken on my iphone, not too clear.

See you in a new house, a new state Queensland, hopefully in the not too distant future.

WOYWW 245

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 245
I  have been AWOL from desk hopping for awhile now. We found out in December we are moving Interstate to Sunny QueenslandBrisbaneThings to see and do in Brisbane. We are going to a tiny state of 3,500,000 in population to 4,500,000 a big jump. But big cities isn't new to us. We've lived in 2 other larger cities Sydney and Melbourne
One last project I need to do before we move is a set of 60 Wedding stationery which includes Invitations, Thank You Cards and Name Place Cards, that a co-worker commissioned me to do so it's all on between culling-packing-and crafting. The main desk is set out with all the ingredients
My projects for the Cards for the Troops has had an overwhelming response from ladies all over Australia. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. The cards above came from Jenny Hubbard from Queensland. The boxes below came from Sandra Carter from NSW, the crocheted coat hangers are for me and I am supposed to learn how to do them hahahaha
My last craft project I did can be found HERE, it is the cutest Baby Rattle Card.

T stands for Tuesdays

T stands for Tuesdays

Yes I have been AWOL, found out in December that we are moving interstate
to Sunny Queensland, Brisbane so it's  been busy busy busy organising this move.
Its always sad to say goodbye. This has been the longest state we have lived in, 6 years.
The fruit is called BAEL, we first tried it at our Thai Massage place, they offer water or tea. I fell in love with this tea, it is so nice and because its a fruit, has no tannins in it.
I just realised you can toast it first, hmmmm here is the Toasted Recipe
Qualities of Bael Fruit
So these are three new mini teacups, the last two I bought I cracked both at work grrr, they are so thick one would think that they would survive a carpeted fall, oh well. The purple one I have bought to give as a present. The other two are mine- hopefully they will last longer than a few months lol.
Each cup holds 110ml or 4fl ozs, just enough to gulp down at work between customers, I love them. I had a client comment that if I didn't keep an eye on it, it would disappear into her bag-hee hee

February Photo A Day 2014 CHILDHOOD

by Chantelle

Todays theme is
CHILDHOOD

Thats me on the left with my mum and all my uncles and aunts.
I remember my childhood as being surrounded by lots of adults, I was content
and some say 'spoilt', I truly did not know what spoilt meant, I just know I was loved to death.
Maybe it was because  I was the newest and smallest puppy in the house.
My mum is the third from the right.
HAPPY MEMORIES!!!

February Photo A Day 2014 YOU

by Chantelle

My friend Trish started posting A Photo A Day with themes and I loved what she had captured so I asked her how she got the themes and it came from Chantelle or Fat Mum Slim (what a great name for a blog). So I thought I'd try my hand at it and polish up my photography skills again.

Todays theme is
YOU

This is a painting my husband commissioned an artist to do in Hawaii. My one and only painting of myself. It has travelled from Hawaii to the US and all over Australia in its box. 13 years later we have finally unpacked it and I've seen it full framed etc.
