Orange you glad its Friday #57

This sea of orange tulips can be found at our annual flower festival called Floriade. There are over 450,000 planted for this event each year. At the end of the festival the volunteers get to take home the bulbs and the flowers get taken to hospitals and retirement homes.

And you've just reminded me that it's just about time to plant tulip bulbs for our spring! Lovely post. My OYGIF: http://lauriekazmierczak.com/bean-there/

These are gorgeous - I have two tulips which open yellow and then turn orange, toe whites, three reds and a plum coloured one. This display makes my few look rather scant :-).
Lovely photo Bridget.

I also need to go and buy to bulbs and get them planted. They will be nothing like the stunning displays in your photo though.

Awesome! I love tulips! So beautiful! And it's great the flowers are taken to retirement homes and hospitals. I'm sure these flowers brighten up someone's day.
